Ambassador of the Republic of Ecuador José Luis Alvarez Palacio presented his credentials to President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca at The Palace, in Valletta.
During the ceremony, the President of Malta and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations.
Born in 1960, Ambassador Alvarez Palacio graduated in Business Administration at the Universidad Central del Ecuador. He also holds an MBA and has attended various leadership programs in Harvard, Kellogg, and Adolfo Ibanez.
Ambassador Alvarez has founded and managed educational enterprises in Ecuador and has a vast experience in international business networks, banking, and tourism. Ambassador Alvarez has been President of the Ecuadorian-American Chamber of Commerce in Quito; Vice President of the Quito Chamber of Commerce, and a professor in Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Quito, teaching Finance.
Ambassador Alvarez is the founder and partner of New Horizons Computer Learning Centers, in Ecuador, a board member at Confianza Insurance Company, and founder and partner of Frontconsulting Ecuador.
