High Commissioner Elizabeth Paula Napeyok presented her credentials to President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca at The Palace, in Valletta.
During the ceremony, the President of Malta and the High Commissioner discussed bilateral relations.
Elizabeth Paula Napeyok was born in Kangole, Uganda on 24th December 1970 and has two children.
In 1976, She received her Diploma in Education from Kyambogo University and subsequently a Degree in Sociology/Social Administration from Makerere University in 1988.
After receiving the diploma in 1976, she started her working career as a secondary school teacher in Northern Uganda, rose through the ranks to become a headmistress and later on in 1985 an Assistant District Education Secretary. Between 1991 and 2004, she worked as a development consultant for the Government of the Republic of Uganda, various United Nations agencies and international humanitarian organisations in Uganda.
Napeyok joined the diplomatic service as Uganda’s Ambassador to the Republic of Cuba in 1996, and went on to serve as Ambassador to the Republic of France, High Commissioner to the Republic of India, and currently to the Republic of Italy.
She received presidential awards for the promotion of girls’ education in 2009 and for export promotion in 2007.
