Frank Keurhorst presented his credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca at The Palace, in Valletta.
During the ceremony, the President of Malta and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations.
Between 1992 and 2006, Ambassador Keurhorst served as Deputy Head of the South East Asia and Oceania Division; as Assistant to the Director General on Regional and Consular Policy, within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ambassador Keurhorst also served as First Secretary within the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Burkina Faso and as Second Secretary within the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kenya, as well as a Policy Officer for Environmental Affairs and Policy Officer for the Special Programs Development Cooperation.
Between 2006 and 2009, Ambassador Keurhorst was appointed Deputy Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands for Morocco, after which he served as the Head of the North Africa and Middle East Division within the Permanent Representation of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the European Union (2009 – 2014).
Before being appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Malta, Frank Keurhorst served as Head of the North Africa and Middle East Peace Process Department within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a post which he occupied till July 2018.
