Ambassador Hamed Sidi Mohamed presented his credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca at The Palace, Valletta.
During the ceremony, the President and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations.
The Ambassador carried out his studies in Public Administration and Diplomatic Law and obtained his Doctorate in Public Law with honours from the University of Algiers in 2013.
In 2006 he started working at the Direction of Arab Affairs and the Department of International Cooperation in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation – Nouakchott.
In 2008, he worked as First Counsellor at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania in Rabat (Morocco) and from 2010 to 2014 he worked as Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania in the Federal Republic of Germany, the Kingdom of Denmark, Finland, the Kingdom of Norway, the Kingdom of Sweden, the Republic of Austria, and the Republic of Poland with residence in Berlin.
In 2016, he worked as the Head of Mission, Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania in Rabat (Morocco).
As of December 2017, he is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the Italian Republic and Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the International Organisations of the United Nations based in Rome (FAO/IFAD/WFP).
