Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina Josip Gelo presented his credentials to President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca at the Presidential Palace in Valletta.
During the ceremony, the President of Malta and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations.
Ambassador Josip Gelo was born on March 19th 1966 in Livno in Bosnia and Herzegovina. And graduated from the Franciscan Theological Faculty in Sarajevo in 1989. He worked in the education sector, in state local administration as well as in the culture sector. He was Director of the Franciscan museum in Livno, and Director of the Art Gallery “Gorica”, tasked with editing museum monografies and catalogues. He was also one of the founders of the scentfic and cultural periodic “Cleuna”. Ambassador Gelo has participated in many cultural programmes and projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as in an international programme of cultural cooperation with the Marche region in Italy.
He is married and is a father of three children.
