The Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina presents her credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca.

On the 18th May 2016, at the Presidential Palace in Valletta, Željana Zovko presented her credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca.
 
During the ceremony, the President of Malta and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations.
 
Biography of Željana Zovko:
Ambassador Željana Zovko was born in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina and holds a B.A. (Hons) in French from the University of North London.
 
Between 1999 and 2001, she served as an Expert Advisor for media relations, for the Bosnia I Herzegovina Presidency in Sarajevo, whilst between the year 2001 and 2002, she served as Head of the Foreign Press Office in Mostar, and later served as Chief of Staff within the Office of the Croat Member of the Bosnian and Herzegovinian Presidency between 2002 and 2004.
 
Between the year 2004 and 2005, she served as non-resident Ambassador within the Republic of Tunisia, and thereafter also as non-resident Ambassador to the Principality of Monaco, to the Principality of Andorra, and to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria. She also served as Permanent Representative to the UNESCO.
 
Between the years 2004 and 2008, she served as Ambassador to France; as Permanent Representative to the World Tourist Organisation and as non-resident Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco. Between the years 2008 and 2011, she Excellency served as Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, whilst between the years 20112 and 2015, she served as Foreign Affairs Advisor to the Chairman of the Council of Ministers. Between April 2015 and August 2015, she served as Advisor within the Cabinet of the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, and in August 2015 she served as Ambassador to Italy.
 
Ambassador Zovko holds a number of awards, amongst which are those as Member of Bosnia and Herzegovina UNESCO National Commission, the award of the Federal Ministry of Culture for Cultural Heritage in 2005, and the Grand Cruz de Merito Militar con distintivo blanco from his Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain in 2012.
 
Ambassador Zovko speaks fluent English, French, Spanish and Italian, and her mother tongue is Croatian.
