The Ambassador of Burkina Faso presents his credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca

On the 18th May 2016, at the Presidential Palace in Valletta, Abraham Traore presented his credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca.
 
During the ceremony, the President of Malta and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations.
 
Biography of General Abraham Traore:
 
Being a professional soldier, General Abraham Traore formed part of the Armed Forces of Burkina Faso in 1976 after obtaining a Baccalaureate Section D in the Military Academy of Kadiogo in Ouagadougou. 
 
General Abraham Traore specializes in aeronautics and has obtained the Technical License for 1st degree of Pilot in Oran in Algeria in 1978 and the Commercial Pilot License Instrument Rating (CPL-IR) from Air Service Training School in Perth in Scotland in 1980. He was confirmed as an air transport driver in 1982 at the instruction of transportation crews Centre (IETC) of Toulouse in 2001 and he obtained the Higher Military Studies license (BEMS) from the Inter-service Forces of defense college (CID) of Paris. He also attended the National Institute of Advanced Studies in Paris in 2002.
 
Before his appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Burkina Faso to the State of Libya in December 2, 2013, he served as the Chief Staff of the Air Force, the Transit Manager functions air Base of Ouagadougou from 1980 to 1981, Head of Operations of the Air Base of Ouagadougou  from 1983 to 1988, Commander of the Squadron of the  Air Base transport 511  from 1988 to 1993, Commander of the Air Base  511  from 1993 to 1999, Chief of Staff Assistant of the Air Force  from 1999 to 2009 and finally, Chief of Staff of the Air Force  from 2009 to 2011.
 
Concurrently, his office of Assistant of Chief of Staff of the Air Force with that of Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Ambassador Abraham Traore was a National Coordinator of an artificial program for the rainfall increase by cloud seeding, called SAAGA (from a local language) from 2001 to 2012.
 
He was raised to the rank of General of Aviation on 1 April, 2011 and was appointed since 03 October 2013 as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Burkina Faso in the state of Libya.
 
Married with three (3) children, General Abraham Traore has received several High distinctions: Knight of the National Order, Military Medal of Honor, Officer of the National Order, Knight of the French Legion of Honor, Medal of Honor of Firemen.
