On the 18th May 2016, at the Presidential Palace in Valletta, Awwad Khaled Alserhan presented his credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca.
During the ceremony, the President of Malta and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations.
Biography of Awwad Khaled Alserhan:
Ambassador Awwad Khaled Alserhan is a career diplomat, who joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on the 1st of October 1987.
Ambassador Alserhan holds a degree in Political Science and a Masters in Political Science from the University of Karachi.
Since October 2014, he is Ambassador to the Republic of Tunisia, and has been Head of the Jordanian Representation Office in Ramallah. During his diplomatic career he has served in Syria, India and the United Arab Emirates.
He has been decorated by the Palestinian National Authority with the Star of Jerusalem Medal of the First Degree.
Ambassador Alserhan is married and has two daughters and a son.
