The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium Frank Carruet presented his credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca at the Palace in Valletta.
During the ceremony, the President and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations.
Ambassador Carruet was born in Halle, in Belgium, on 12th May 1956.
Between 1989 and 1993 he served his first diplomatic post at the United Nations Office in Geneva. In 1998, Ambassador Carruet became charge d’affaires at the Belgian Embassy in Algiers.
In 2000, the Ambassador was nominated as Ambassador in Youande, and between 2005 and 2009, he served as Belgian Ambassador in Canberra, serving Australia and New Zealand.
In 2013, Ambassador Carruet became Ambassador of Belgium to Morocco, and since September 2017 he has served as the Ambassador of Belgium in Italy.
