The Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria presents his credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca

 

On the 22nd November 2016, Mr Abdelhamid Senouci Bereski presented his credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca at The Palace, in Valletta.

 

During the ceremony, the President of Malta and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations.

 

Mr Abdelhamid Senouci Bereksi graduated from the National School of Administration of Algiers, started his career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s and Democratic Republic of Algeria on 1970.

 

Later he was posted at the Algerian embassies in Nigeria, Ethiopia and after that becoming, on 1979, the Deputy-Director of Western Africa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 

In 1984 Mr Abdelhamid Senouci Bereksi was appointed as the Ambassador of the People’s and Democratic Republic of Algeria to Mozambique, and in 1988, he was appointed Ambassador to Pakistan. Between 1989 and 1990, he was Ambassador of Algeria to Peru.

 

After that mission he took the position of the Director Eastern Asia at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during three years.

 

He was appointed Ambassador of Algeria to India, from 1994 to 2000, before coming back to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as General-Director of Asia Oceania between 2001 and 2004. In 2004, Mr. Senouci Bereksi has become Ambassador in Turkey, and in 2006, he was appointed in Romania.

 

Since 2010, he was the General Inspector General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Mr Senouci Bereksi took the position of the General Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in 2014.

 

He was appointed the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in Rome in March 2016, being officially accredited in Italy in June 2016, and accordingly in the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the International Fund for Agricultural  Development (IFAD) and World Food Programme (WFP). Ambassador Senouci Bereksi is married and has two children. He speaks Arabic, French, English and Spanish.
