Ambassador of Monaco Robert Fillon presented his credentials to the President of Malta at The Palace, Valletta. During the ceremony, the President and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations.
Robert Fillon was born on 16 June 1957 in Monaco. After studying law in France, he became a lawyer and then turned to the service (department) of Monaco administration, where he held different management positions in health and social departments, in the foreign department as secretary general and personal representative to his Serene Highness, the Prince, and the government of the principality of Monaco for the Francophonie in Paris.
Ambassador Fillon also served as chief of staff of the presidency at the National Council (Parliament) from 2003 till 2006 and as Ambassador of the Principality of Monaco in Switzerland and Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva.
Back in 2012, he was appointed Ambassador of the Principality of Monaco to Italy, Permanent Representative to FAO in Rome, and also accredited to Saint Marin, Slovenia, Croatia, and Romania.
He is the author of several historical articles about Monaco. Robert Fillon is married to Mireille and together they have three children and three grandchildren.
