The Ambassador of Romania presents his credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca

On the 31st January 2017, Mr George Gabriel Bologan presented his credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca at The Palace, in Valletta.

During the ceremony, the President of Malta and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations.

Presently Mr George Gabriel Bologan is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to the Italian Republic, to the Republic of Malta and to the Republic of San Marino.

Between the years 2012 and 2016 he was Consul General of Romania in Milan at the Consulate General of Romania.

From 2003 to 2011 he was a diplomat at the Romanian Embassy in Rome, responsible for Cultural Affairs and Romanian Community.

Ambassador Bologan has a University degree in Communication Sciences at the University of Maria Santissima Assunta in Rome and a University degree in Theology from the Pontifical Universities Gregoriana, Orientale and Urbaniana in Rome. He also has a Master in European Studies from the University of Oradea, Romania and pursuing at present a PhD at the Department of International Relations and European Studies at the Faculty of History and Philosophy, University of Babes-Bolyai, Romania.

From 1995 to 2003 he was a journalist working for various publications, radio and TV stations both in Romania and Italy. He was also an accredited journalist for the Holy See Press Office.
