Ambassador of Libya Saadun Suayeh presented his credentials to President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca at The Palace, in Valletta.
During the cerEmony, the President of Malta and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations.
Dr Suayeh holds a Bachelor of Arts in English, a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics and a Doctorate in Theoretical Linguistics from Indiana University, USA.
Dr Suayeh served for many years as a University professor in Libya and in Malta. He also served within the United Nations in New York for ten years. He was Ambassador of Libya to Malta during the period 2010 – 2012.
Ambassador Suayeh published a number of research papers and books both in Arabic and English. He held consultancy positions after retiring from the UN with the Libyan Mission to the United Nations in New York. He was also responsible for the drafting of UN Resolutions pertaining to Libya during the period 2009-2010.
