On 4th December 2018, Kerem A. Kıratlı presented his credentials to President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca at The Palace, in Valletta.
During the ceremony, the President of Malta and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations.
Ambassador Kıratlı attained his Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Public Administration and International Relations in 1985 from the Middle East Technical University of Turkey. He has joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey immediately after his graduation and following his military service he held the position of attaché in 1988.
After serving as Third Secretary in the Turkish Embassy in Baghdad and Vice Counsellor in Los Angeles, he served as First Counsellor at the Embassy in Athens. During 2000-2003, he acted as Diplomatic Advisor to the Prime Minister. From 2003-2007 he was the First Counsellor in the Embassy in Berlin. He was Minister-Counsellor/Deputy Head of Mission at the London Embassy and became Ambassador to Muscat.
He has pursued his career as Ambassador/Ministerial Advisor and later as Coordinator of the OIC 13th Islamic Summit. Prior to his assignment as Ambassador of Turkey to Malta, he occupied the position of Director General for Bilateral Political Affairs with the Middle East and North Africa.
