The High Commissioner of Malaysia presents his credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca

 

This morning, the High Commissioner of Malaysia Tan Sri Bernard Giluk Dompok presented his credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca at The Palace, Valletta.

During the ceremony, the President of Malta and the High Commissioner discussed bilateral relations.

High Commissioner Dompok is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS), United Kingdom. Graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of East London, he worked as a property valuer with the government and later went into private practice prior to pursuing a political career.

He served for 13 years in the State Cabinet of Sabah, Malaysia as a Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and Chief Minister. He was with the Federal Cabinet for a period of 15 years and served in various capacities, the last being the Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities.

High Commissioner Dompok is now the first resident Ambassador to the Holy See and also accredited to Malta and Albania.
