President of Malta, Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, met the Vice President of the Republic of Turkey, Mr Fuat Oktay, on the first day of her state visit to the Republic of Turkey. President Coleiro Preca and Vice President Oktay addressed the Turkey-Malta Business Council Meeting in Istanbul which was attended by Maltese and Turkish entrepreneurs. President Coleiro Preca and Vice President Oktay also spoke of the excellent relations between Malta and Turkey, on a diplomatic, political and commercial level. Diplomatic relations between Malta and Turkey were established on 10 October 1967.
