President of Malta, Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, participated in a discussion during a workshop entitled “Dys-Team, Dys-Play, Dys-Cuss”, a youth exchange project, funded through ERASMUS+, and coordinated by Dyslexic Teens Dialogue (Malta) and Futuro Dislessia (Italy).
“By facilitating this dialogue, which is bringing together people from Malta and Italy, you are giving moral support to each other. Sharing your experiences will enrich you and will help you find better ways to address the challenges which you face, as people with different abilities,” President Coleiro Preca said. She added that this dialogue has created a safe space, an opportunity for young people from Malta and Italy to meet and to get to know each other. The President said that this too is helping to further develop the mutual friendship which Malta and Italy can benefit from.
She encouraged those present to be activists “not just for dyslexia awareness, but also, activists for friendships and for what is right, so that, in the future, we will have meaningful leaders.”
